Award for outstanding research work in the field of EMG system development
We congratulate Jaqueline Altmann, Product and Development Engineer at j. söllner AG, on winning the award for the best paper at the 17th International Conference on Sensing Technology in Sydney!
Her bachelor’s thesis on “Development of a 3D-printable measuring probe and housing for surface EMG” impressed with its combination of ergonomics, sustainability and innovative manufacturing technology. The thesis focused on the use of bio-based PLA filament and the use of FDM 3D printing to produce ergonomically shaped disposable probes for medical measurement applications.
The award in Sydney underlines the potential of modern manufacturing processes in medical technology and shows how young talent is actively shaping the future of the industry. The international transfer of knowledge is also particularly noteworthy: the professional exchange with experts from Australia and Asia provided valuable impetus for further developments.
Special thanks go to Prof. Torsten Reitmeier and his team from OTH Regensburg (Laboratory for Control Engineering) and Prof. Dr. Constanze Kiese from Furtwangen University (Health, Medical & Life Sciences), who supported Jaqueline Altmann with expert guidance and valuable suggestions.
As TT medic Group, we are delighted to receive such innovative impulses from our network. They show how technological expertise, sustainability thinking and international cooperation can go hand in hand.
We would like to thank Jaqueline Altmann for her commitment and congratulate her on this well-deserved success!
